Kingston University Students’ Union — Student Elections Campaign

In 2024, I worked with Kingston University Students’ Union on a short social media campaign to promote the annual Student Elections and encourage students to engage with the election process.

Working alongside the Students’ Union’s Lead Social Media Assistant, we produced 12 pieces of promotional content over the course of one week, combining straightforward campaign messaging and countdown posts with more creative video content.

Together, we developed and filmed a series of videos designed to be entertaining, interesting and educational, finding ways to communicate important election information without relying solely on traditional promotional messaging. Some pieces were quick and simple, while others involved considerably more creative development, filming and editing.

The campaign demonstrates my ability to step into an existing communications team, quickly understand an organisation’s objectives and contribute creative ideas that can be delivered at pace. It also reflects my experience translating institutional messages into social content that feels more natural, engaging and appropriate for the platform and audience.
