Retreats: Wellness & Creative

(Deepen your connection to creativity, nature, and each other)

Cyanotype printing is a slow, mindful process - and it pairs beautifully with the nourishing environment of a retreat. Whether you're planning a weekend escape or a week-long immersion, my workshops offer participants a way to connect with plants, creativity, and each other in a deeply grounding way.

I’ve facilitated workshops at wellness and creative retreats including:

🌿 The Muses of Selkie Isle a photography and textile retreat - a gathering of women on a remote island for a week of rest, connection and craft. I guided participants in creating cyanotype prints using their lacework - a beautiful way to honour their handmade pieces and turn them into lasting blue artworks.

Tiramisu Creative Retreat

I was invited to facilitate a cyanotype workshop at the Tiramisu Retreat — a weekend of creativity, connection and wellbeing hosted by the team behind Tiramisu, a new app designed to help people build healthier habits, support meaningful causes, and discover inspiring events in community.

Set in nature and shared with a group of artists, facilitators, and curious creatives, the retreat was a soft, nourishing space filled with breathwork, singing around the campfire, foraged meals, and gentle practices to help people reconnect to themselves and one another.

My cyanotype session invited participants to slow down, connect with natural materials, and explore their inner landscapes through the poetic lens of light, plants and personal symbolism. We printed on pretreated paper with my large pressed flower collection - reflecting on how every breath we take is a gift from the plants.

It was a joy to be part of a weekend that was as much about healing as it was about creative expression — and a reminder that when we make space for rest, imagination, and community, transformation becomes possible.

Rest is Resistance Retreat (The Advocacy Academy)

As part of the Rest is Resistance retreat hosted by The Advocacy Academy — a powerful youth organisation training the next generation of organisers, leaders, and change-makers — I facilitated a cyanotype workshop rooted in reflection, justice, and connection to the land.

Held just outside Birmingham, the workshop used weeds as a central theme — inviting young people to consider how systems of power, oppression, and value judgement shape both our relationships with nature and with one another. Through this lens, weeds became symbols of resilience, misjudged beauty, and reclaiming space.

Participants used the cyanotype process as a way to envision and create the world they want to live in — one that recognises overlooked potential, redefines worth, and centres care.

It was a deep honour to be part of this radical, restorative space.

Whether you’d like a structured afternoon workshop, or a slower, drop-in-style session, I’ll work with you to tailor the format to your retreat flow. I bring everything needed: hand-painted cyanotype paper, pressed flowers, and plenty of gentle guidance.

We’ll begin with a short introduction to the process and some plant-based storytelling (inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer), followed by a demonstration, and then open space for participants to make their own botanical blueprints at their own pace.

💙 These workshops are suitable for all skill levels — no experience required — and create a gentle, grounding experience that resonates long after the session ends.

📍I’m based in Surrey but happy to travel — whether your retreat is in the countryside, by the coast, or tucked away on an island.

💬 If you’re planning a creative or wellness retreat and would love to include a cyanotype workshop — let’s chat! I’d love to be part of it.
